About the Author
Barry Potyondi was born and raised in rural Saskatchewan. After graduate work in western Canadian history, he founded Great Plains Research Consultants, a Calgary firm specializing in historical research, planning and interpretation. Since 1977, he has written widely about our past, and helped heritage preservation groups throughout Western Canada and the North tell their special stories to a broader audience. He currently lives in Calgary.
